By downloading, installing, registering, or using the SmartKhata mobile application or cloud portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to all terms, please do not use the application.

SmartKhata provides digital khata ledgers, Point of Sale (POS) invoicing, barcode item scanning, inventory stock management, customer credit tracking, staff payroll calculation, and financial reporting tools specifically tailored for Pakistani dukaans, merchants, and retail businesses.

• You must provide accurate, current business registration and contact information during sign-up.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN lock, login credentials, and session tokens.
• You are solely responsible for all transactions and ledger entries performed under your merchant profile.
• SmartKhata will never ask for your private banking OTP or credit card CVV.

Permitted Use:

• Operating your legitimate retail shop, wholesale depot, or services business in Pakistan.
• Tracking sales, customer credit udhar balances, and supplier invoices.
• Issuing thermal printed or digital receipts to paying customers.

Prohibited Actions:

• Using SmartKhata for money laundering, fraudulent invoicing, or illicit trade.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy application source code.
• Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the platform without written authorization.

All trademarks, app designs, UI layouts, codebases, algorithms, and branding assets remain the exclusive intellectual property of SmartKhata Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. However, you retain 100% full legal ownership of the commercial and customer records you enter into your store ledger.

Your use of SmartKhata is strictly governed by our Privacy Policy, which details how your ledger records are secured with bank-grade encryption and offline-first storage.

SmartKhata is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we maintain high availability and automated local backups, shopkeepers are advised to periodically export ledger summary PDFs for their administrative records.
